102nd PGA Annual Meeting

The 102nd Annual Meeting of the PGA of America will be held this year at the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort in Indian Wells, California. Delegate arrival will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 6, and the meeting will conclude on Friday, Nov. 9.

DELEGATES

Event registration for the 102nd PGA Annual Meeting will open Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8:00 a.m. and will be located in the Mountain View Room. From Wednesday through Friday, registration will be located near the Esmeralda Ballroom. Hours of Operation are:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 7: 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 8: 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 9: 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

MEETING APP

We are again providing a mobile app for this year's PGA Annual Meeting. The app is focused on easily accessible event information and increased networking capabilities. You can use it to manage your daily agenda, look up and message other meeting attendees, and receive timely event notifications. Content will continue to be added leading up to and throughout the Annual Meeting, but get a head start by downloading the app now.  Here’s how:

  • Search “2018 PGA Annual Meeting” in the app store on your Apple or Android device
  • Enter your email address to pre-populate your profile and contact information               
  • One-time Password entry: PGA2018

Once downloaded, you may upload a photo to your profile or connect to your LinkedIn account to personalize your profile.

Transportation from Palm Springs International Airport to and from the Renaissance is available via taxi for $55, one way. 

DIRECTIONS: 

From Palm Spring International Airport: Turn left on Kirk Douglas, then left on Ramon Road to Interstate 10 East. Take Interstate 10 East to Cook Street. Turn right on Cook Street, go 4 miles to Hwy. 111 and turn left. Then 2 miles to Indian Wells Lane and turn left. The resort will be on your right.

RENTAL CAR

A rental car is not required for this event, as the PGA will provide transportation for any off-site events that are not in walking distance. 

DEPARTURE SHUTTLES

The PGA will offer departure shuttles from the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa for flights departing Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) on Saturday, Nov. 10, starting at 3:30–11:00 a.m. only. Sign-up sheets will be available on-site in registration.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SECTION HOSPITALITY

The Southern California Section cordially invites you to their hospitality room on the lower level of the Renaissance in Stir. Refreshments, gifts and information on local sights will be provided. The specific days and times Section Hospitality are:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 6: 2:30– 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 7: 3:30– 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 8: 4:30– 6:00 p.m.

REIMBURSEMENT

The PGA of America will reimburse or provide a stipend for each Section’s official delegation - three Section Officers and the Section Executive Director - to attend the 102nd PGA Annual Meeting. Reimbursement will be provided for four (4) nights lodging, airfare, one (1) luggage item, and (1) golf bag with proper receipts and expense forms. A general stipend will be given to each Section for meals on travel days, ground transportation, gratuities and District Dinner. Access the Policies and Procedures here.

MEMBER SERVICE REQUIREMENT (MSR) CREDITS

PGA Member Delegates, Officers, Past Presidents and Board Members who attend the 102nd PGA Annual Meeting will receive a total of 16 MSR credits in the PGA Required Category for check in on Tuesday Nov. 6 or Wednesday, Nov. 7.  Members who check in on Thursday, Nov. 8 will receive 13 MSR credits.  Members who check in on Friday, Nov. 9 will receive seven (7) MSR credits in the PGA Required Category for attendance on Friday.  Members must sign-in at the PGA Registration table on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday in order to be awarded the MSR credits.

The three PGA Merchandiser of the Year Awards will be presented during the 2019 PGA Magazine Merchandiser of the Year Conference, prior to the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando in January.

On-site registration will open Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 8:00 a.m. and will be located in the Mountain View Room until 5 p.m. From Wednesday through Friday, registration will be located near the Esmeralda Ballroom. Hours of Operation are:
