Bob Ford, PGA, has been named to the newly created position of General Manager at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida.
Ford, who won the USGA’s Bob Jones Award earlier this year, is one of the game’s most respected PGA Professionals having served as the PGA Head Professional at Oakmont for 37 years before retiring last fall. During his tenure at Oakmont, Ford served as a mentor to more than 100 golf professionals. In the past few years, Ford has spent his winter months serving as the PGA Head Professional at Seminole.
In addition to his contributions to his profession, Ford is an accomplished player who qualified for three U.S Opens, two U.S. Senior Opens and 10 PGA Championships. Ford also served as president of the Tri-State PGA from 1994-98 and has received four national PGA of America awards: 1985 and 1997 PGA Merchandiser of the Year (Private Facility), 1987 PGA Golf Professional of the Year and 1988 PGA Professional Player of the Year.
