Phase 3: New Normal

In Phase 3, golf courses and clubs may return to normal operations while practicing enhanced sanitation protocols. Large gatherings (e.g., sit-down dining, charity events,  weddings, etc.) may operate under limited physical distancing. See below for specific examples on how to safely return to normal operations.

Note: Vulnerable individuals can resume public interactions, but should practice physical distancing, minimizing exposure to social settings where distancing may not be practical, unless precautionary measures are observed. Low-risk populations should consider minimizing time spent in crowded environments.

Golf Course Setup and Maintenance

On Course Restrooms

  • Normal restroom availability.

Guidelines For Play

  • Tournament play and league play may resume.

Golf Shop/Retail Operations

  • Golf Shop is open with no restrictions.
  • Normal procedures for reservations and check-in.

Guest Supplies (Scorecards, Tees, Pencils)

  • Normal operations.

Payment/Cash Handling

  • Normal operations.

Practice Facility

  • Normal operations.

Teaching and Coaching/Club Fitting

  • All teaching and coaching is allowed on site.
  • No restrictions.
  • All youth activities allowed to return.

Cart Riding

  • Normal operations.

Club Storage and Bag Handling

  • Bag storage resumes.
  • Outside service operation resumes.


  • Caddies resume normal operations.

Golf Staffing

  • All Staff returned.
  • No protective gear required.
